Essentials of dart throwing
Aim: make your eyes, darts and target points aligned. You must aim at the target, not darts or beautiful girls who join the club. Many throwers naturally aim, but some novices don't do so from the beginning. Be sure to aim. This is the first step to ensure a successful throw.
Move back: do this step, but don't move too fast. Many beginners are afraid that moving backward will lose the collimation, but to get good control, they just need to practice more. Only a few winners omit to move back, so 99% of us must learn this step. How far back depends on the individual, but generally speaking, the farther the better. The common error is that it is difficult to control and then move it insufficiently, so it can not achieve sufficient acceleration and accuracy. Practice more to make up for your weakness.
Acceleration process: this process is not as difficult as you think. Don't move too fast or too hard. Try to move naturally and smoothly along a certain parabola. Remember to lift your elbow properly. If you swing your wrist, follow the original curve direction until the dart is out of hand.
Release: as mentioned above, as long as you throw it in the correct way, this step is only a natural extension of the previous steps, and there will be no big problem. If you feel that the release point is not well mastered, it is likely that there is the aforementioned technical error (no elbow movement, or no follow-up action mentioned below).
Follow through: This is a very important point. After throwing the dart, the hand should continue to aim in the direction of the original target. A typical mistake is to drop your arm immediately after releasing the dart.
